Veterinary Surgery

PetPB’s spacious operating room is prepared to handle any emergency surgery.

veterinary surgery ORIt’s size help maintain sterility as it allows plenty of room for the anesthesia nurse to navigate around the table.  We know that many surgical patients such as GDV, hemoabdomen, or hernias need to be in the OR as soon as possible.  Our nurses are trained to minimize prep and setup time.  Our doctors use excellent anesthesia protocols with a goal to use minimum inhalant anesthesia for the safest probable outcome.  During veterinary surgery, a dedicated anesthesia nurse monitors all vitals and trends in patient status.  With this high level of training the doctors are able to focus on the surgery.

All of this means that we practice high standards in the operating room with a smooth recovery in mind.
