What Is a Pet Emergency?
If your pet is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, please call PetPB or click on our map for directions to our emergency animal hospital. Your pet may be in critical need of medical attention. We ask that you call ahead to notify the staff of the nature of your pet emergency so we can be prepared to assist your cat or dog immediately upon arrival. The following are obvious symptoms of a pet emergency:
- Difficulty Breathing
- Excessive Bleeding
- Bloating or Painful Abdomen
- Irregular Urination or Vocalizing while Urinating
- Seizures
- Irregular Bowel Movements
- Vomiting (especially with blood)
- Diarrhea for More than 24 Hours
- Heatstroke or Dehydration
- Sudden Blindness
- Inability to Deliver Puppies or Kittens
- Loss of Balance/Consciousness or Seizure
- Signs of Pain or Heavy Panting
- Major Trauma
- Poison Ingestion or Foreign Body Ingestion
*Please bring package or list of ingredients of any product ingested - Biting at Imaginary Objects
- Change in Disposition
- Unusual Swelling
